Default Rear end click?

Hi,
I have noticed that my rear end is clicking sometimes when I take a turn. (It sounds like a front wheel drive cv joint). Is my rear end going out?

I'm going to resurrect this thread because my car just started doing this also. It's only on really tight right hand corners. Sounds like it may be the inside corner doing it. Any ideas?

or if its actually in the event of a diff failure, it could be the sound of a cracked spider gear. mine made a clicking sound shortly before the spider gears blew apart.

I'm actually voting for a combination of the two... I climbed up under the car last night and wiggled the exhaust and it's obvious that my exhaust hangers are no longer hold it in place. It was hitting everything within 4". My swaybar bushings look like poo so I'm sure they are binding as well.

I just don't believe I can frag a 7" diff with a mostly stock engine.

I've heard miatas make nasty clonking/banging noises in autox's in hard corners....always turned out to be one or the other...

before mine went out, i would hear what sounded like a piece of stiff plastic flapping in the wind under the car. this only happened once, but i was sitting at a light and when the car rolled back a little in neutral, the rear bound up a bit. that's when i knew it wasn't long.

Yeah normally I would vote for the diff, cause mine started making a metallic "ping" before it blew, but it would seem here that you have a 7". I gotta go with sway bar probably. One of your in-links break?

In my case no... it's not rapid and it's a lower pitch than the CV click. I'm hoping to replace the stock exhaust hangers with the poly ones available at autozone and lots of places online... I'm hoping that stiffer hangers will eliminate 90% of this.
