Hey i have these wheels, they're stockers but i don't think they're stock for my year..

What tires would you suggest for best grip and long lasting... while still being on the cheaper end. I currently have Yokohama's

i had some sumimoto something or others on my civic hatch. they were cheap as crap and semi-decent. Great for the price though I havent had a lot of experience with different tires

Azeni 615s are pretty damn cheap for a pretty *** kickin tire that will work for street/autocross/ and cold tracking.

+1 for azeni's I just got a full set mounted for $380 and I love them. Miles above my old Kumho MXs, and anything else I have driven on. I DD them, no problems so far.

A friend of mine drives a wrx with Fuzion ZRI tires on the stock rims and they offer a damn good ammount of grip considering the cost and how long they last. The downfall of these tires are the soft sidewalls which I assume are partly the reason for the good grip, at a sacrifice of turn-in response. His sidewalls are notably marred after putting them through several auto-x events, though he was somehow able to hang with guys who should have been much faster than him.

Man I used to mount Fuzions, they are heavy as crap. Also, they like to "chunk" when abused.

Well when you are looking at tires for the best grip and long lasting... while still being on the cheaper end. there are going to be some tradeoffs. I still think the zri's are a decent choice for a daily driven performance tire

uh what about the felken 512's i heard they are a decent tire and they are only about 50-60 bucks apiece a buddy of mine gets about 30K miles out of them on his neon.

i know, ive been using them for 2 years, every drift event i went to. they die really quick if you like to do plenty of spirited driving.

Fuzions or Falkens. Falken RT-615's are ok in the wet. My daily driver (saab Aero) has Fuzions on and the are pretty good.

yup 512's lasted 20k miles with my dad driving the car, put a new set on when he sold the car to me, they lasted a little under 5k

I'm no help w/tires... been on Proxes forever and love'em.
BTW, those wheels are not OEM Miata. They're also probably heavier than ****. Performance-wise, you'd probably be better off going back to some OEM 14's. If you can afford it, there's nothing cheaper for the weight than 15" Konig Heliums with whatever tire you decide.

sumitomo htr's "chunk" on the street. My kumho ecsta 711's lasted a while, I'll buy another set of ASX's for street rubber next time.
