Default 0-1V vs 0-5V output for wideband

Hi guys,

I'm looking for an acurate digital numeric display for the air/fuel ratio. If I already have a WB sensor/controller (zeitronix) can I get away with using a 0-1v display for tuning or do I need to get a 0-5V? I haven't been able to find any 0-5v stand alone displays but the 0-1V are dirt cheap.

Thanks,

t.t.

0-5V gives you much better resolution. That's the primary advantage.

just take a volt meter and wire it in and viola 0-5 volt display of course you will have to do the math to figure out Af from the scale of the WB though FWIW most gauges operate on a narrow -12 volt band and use the controller to just downsize the signal so that it will read correctly. For instance my dynotune ebay AF gauge measures from 1.0-2.0 volts to tell me 10-20 AFR, by just feeding off the signal i had my LC1 downsize for me by setting the max and minimum points.

I don't think the 0-1V output of the ZT-2 represents the same as the 5V, IIRC, Bruce or a friend some trouble trying to use it.
The 5V output of the ZT-2 is a functional log output, it's not linear like some of the others.
