Clutch won't go in gear while running
Well like the title says I cannot get into gear while the car is running. I just got done with my turbo build and new clutch install. I put a new F1 stage 3 clutch in, put a new pilot bearing in from napa when the flywheel got resurfaced used the tob that came with it, everything was aligned right, I also adjusted the clutch pedal. I can go through all the gears fine when it's off and also when I start the car in gear it lurches forward. I can see the slave moving fine as well. What gives!!

When I put in a stiffer clutch (ACT Stage 1), I discovered that both the slave AND master were weak. A leaking slave can be detected by squeezing the rubber boot and looking for fluid. A leaking master will weep at the firewall and be hard to detect unless you pull it.
Replaced both and the rubber part of the clutch line (with braided stainless), and haven't looked back.

This is why I will not go cheap on a clutch. I have no desire to have to do the work more then once when something does not work right the first time.
I have seen this same thing happen to Braineacks car. We had to shim the pressure plate some and then a week later the clutch completely died. We then swapped back in his ACT clutch and it worked perfectly.

yeah i did some reading up on them and in one thread some one had said the PP was not good like it was an exedy toss out. but im guessing i installed the clutch backwards because after some more research it seems to be more common than i thought. ive never had a problem like this on FWD civics but this trans is like 10 times easier to take out than a newer honda where i have to drop the whole subframe

just because its cheap dose not mean it wont work. yes they may have problems for some but you can put any clutch in wrong and get the same result. if i did perhaps install it wrong and it works i will be happy with it but if i flip the clutch and still nothing than im going to blame the clutch

just because its cheap dose not mean it wont work. yes they may have problems for some but you can put any clutch in wrong and get the same result. if i did perhaps install it wrong and it works i will be happy with it but if i flip the clutch and still nothing than im going to blame the clutch
except when these cheap clutches in particular are known to have this issue. search man, tons of members with this problem with clutchnet/F1/AST clutches.
you didn't install the clutch disc backwards.

So I got the clutch out today to see it. It was installed correctly, but when I went to take the clutch disk out of the pressure plate it was stuck inside the pressure plate and that's why I Wasent able to disengauge it.
