Default Removing NB frame mounted fuel damper?

Anyone remove the pre fuel rail damper on their NB? Any negative consequences?

I did it years ago with an otherwise stock fuel system, then with a Wabro 255HP, ran 550cc RC engineering injectors, then 1K ID injectors.

Never noticed anything/had any problems. I now have a return style fuel system and also have not noticed any problems without the damper.

I'm running an Aeromotive 340lph pump, but otherwise stock fuel system. I was thinking I'd pull the damper off the frame rail and install the big bore fuel rail I've had sitting in a box for a while. I can either double feed the rail or single feed and install a fuel pressure sensor in it.

Car is down to 1900lbs (it still has all of the NB Sport bracing), something like 450lbs down from when I first got it. Running out of places to pull weight.

I'd delete the damper, install the FPR and single feed it to the rail, and install the fuel pressure sensor in the rail too.

Sorry but pics of 1900 lb miata aren't working???
