Question Buying an NA, questions about possable bent frame rail.

Today I went to look at a red 94' that I'm thinking of buying, most of it looked good except two things. The first is the rear of the plastic piece under the engine bay is loose and hanging down about 2 inches, looks like it cought on somthing while the car was backing up, but it seems like an easy fix. (Example of this piece as it should be here )

But the second issue is that the bottom of the drivers side frame rail is bent in (concave) withe the frame rail bent out on either side of the concave bend. (example of how it should be here, on the right. )
So, how much of a problem is this? Is it something that commonly happens? And can it be fixed with these Miata Frog Rails (Frame Rails) I'm going to have the car inspected by a mechanic before I decide if I'm buying or not, and I have to see whether or not the insurance co. will insure the car due to its salvage title, supposedly because it was stolen.

Thanks.

Here are some pictures of the car, couldn't get any of the areas in question with my cellphone camera though.

If you are really worried about it get a set of FM frame rails to fix your problems one. My car has tons of dents in the factory frame rails they are paper thin and really don't hold up to anything. I highly doubt it would fail inspection from it or that it is that bad. Try a set of these.

$160 and they will be as strong as they can get.

+1 On FM frame rails, my buddy's '90 passed safety inspection with them over bent frame rails (incident with a floor jack).

Cool, good to know they aren't anything too important and they can be easily fixed. If all else checks out with an inspection then I'll have it by the end of the week.
