Here's what I did to remove EGR from my system since my MS's control of it was somewhat tempermental (no wires, for one thing):

Basically, stuffed a rubber plug in the manifold, and put a plate on the egr tube. But, I HATE that tube, so if someone knows where to get a plug for the exhaust manifold, I'm all ears.

Pretty sure BEGI could better inform you on a plug. To make your own cut the end off your EGR tube on the exhaust mani end and braze it shut or whatever method of metal bonding you feel like.

Thanks - I might give them a ring. I thought about doing that, but my nut's so rounded I'd never get it back in. :-)

So it seems ok if I just leave it like that - sometimes I get lazy.

That reminds me to get a plug from them while my mani is there getting modified.
My tube is crimped and braized, nothing pretty.

If you remove the egr tube (and only if you remove it), there is no need to plug the hole where the egr tube went. Just leave it open. I used a Begi plug to close the hole on the manifold
Then, of the 2 holes where the egr valve used to be, close the one with the red arrow. I drillled and tapped with the dril / tap that came with the turbo kit (for the oil return line);

just remove the gasket, trace it on some sheet metal of the same description, and dont cut out the center hole.

Since I had my manifold apart, back when I first posted this topic, I just put a plug in an internal passage:

Jammed it in that hole on the upper right. I was concerned high vacuum/pressure might make it move, but there's a 90* bend on either side of that joint.



Then I added a plate to the front to keep exhaust from going everywhere:
