Default Car won't start. Has spark, and fuel.

1992 miata.
It just cranks and won't even attempt to start.
Fuel pumps working, injectors working, has spark, cams are turning, using 10 to ground just shuts off the cel.

I was driving to work and it just died and wouldn't start after that.
At first I thought it was the cas because my dad said there was no spark. So I replaced the cas and still no start. I then checked and there was spark. My dad said he pulled the fuel line and it had good pressure and flow. My uncle also looked at it and said that one of my fuel injectors was just flooding my cylinder. But I guess he fixed that. I even tried the paper clip trick for the diagnostic. All it did was shut off the check engine.

Anything I missed? Could timing go that far off from a sensor coming unplugged or something like that.

Can you swap in a known, good ECU for a test?

Check the fuel pressure.

My '90 was doing something similar recently. I was getting what looked like good flow out of the line in the engine bay while I tried flushing out some old gas, but didn't have enough pressure for the car to fire more than a few times. Turned out the fuel pump was only working intermittently.

Turns out the timming belt got "shredded" or something like that. So cams were still able to turn and fuel and ignition was working fine but the cams were off. At least that's what they said the issue is. They haven't swapped the parts yet, but that's what they believe the issue is.

I guess a broken timing belt will do that. You can do other stuff like valve cover gasket. Cam shaft seals, water pump and tensioner while replacing the timing belt. The labor will be just as much so might as well do those now than later.

The shops doing all that stuff plus fixing small leaks and little stuff like that as well. I was quoted somewhere around $900. I was kind of pissed after hearing that number. That's like half of what the cars worth.

Timing belt is easy. About 200$ worth of parts, oil, coolant and seals and a full day if you never done it before and profit 700$. After all is said and done they will find something else to tack on another 100$. Im sorry.
