Greddy is one of the cheaper 1.6l kits if im not mistaken. I think the project car people used the godspeed one and they were on a budget, so that might be an option too, but there are a lot of people here with the greddy kit.

might help to offer some info, like...

do you own a torque wrench?
are you handy with a welder?
are you trying to make it a little faster, or a lot faster? 0-60, 1/4 mile, rolling start?
what's your definition of "really expensive"?

the way your posts are reading, is "I want to go fast, but I don't really know much about what I'm asking for, and I want someone to give me an easy answer". answering the above questions will increase the usefulness ratio of the replies, though the only "easy answers" involve spending large sums of money.

fast, cheap, easy. pick two.

I learned a long time ago that you've gotta pay to play. Cutting costs sometimes cuts too many corners and it'll bite you in the end.

Not saying you can't get deals places.. but be careful where you're cutting those corners.

Are you serious? You've looked everywhere and couldn't find a turbo kit for a 1.6 miata?

Do a search, or at least click on the pre-fabbed kits forum...

Seriously man, I have to read what you post like 10 times to even remotely come close to comprehend what you're saying.. Have you heard of a Period? Maybe some sentence structure?? A dictionary by chance?

Maybe some proper distinction between the following would be very helpful:

no
know
there
they're
their
to
too
two

Substitution of a word with a number is also not an acceptable form of English communication, even on an interweb forum.

Back on subject here, I also find it hard to believe you've honestly exhausted all search possibilities looking for a turbo setup for a 1.6 miata.

Honestly, don't take this the wrong way.. but if you want to be el driftomaster you've got the wrong car. Oh, and didn't you get that memo? Drifting is gay.

Ever consider a rotary? I hear the 13b swap is really easy, and only costs like 200$. That'll get you mad drifto status real quick... Be some Mad JDM **** too.

This forum is not your question and answer service. Search the FAQs, look through the various sponsors, and give a little effort. We are not going to spoon-feed this **** to you.

Exactly... Most newcomers read for at least a couple months before even posting once! It really helps because you can learn what the culture is like here and you can keep yourself from getting flamed like this. We are happy to answer questions but please do a search first. Read braineack's FAQ. It is very very good and it is a great place to start. Search, rephrase, search again, rephrase again, search again. If you cant find the answer you are looking for. Ask the question in a precise manor so that we can give you the exact answer that you are looking for.

Also, like has been said, grammar and punctuation are wonderful. It makes you look much more intelligent and people are more likely to listen to you because they don't get a headache from trying to translate your words into something legible.

Oh, also, it helps if you use a precise thread title so we know what the thread is about without having to open it. The thread title "help" could be about ANYTHING. This one may be just a pet peeve of mine but i think it applies with other people too.

Yea no kidding. Either go to a search engine and type in miata turbo and plenty will come up or just click on the sponsors links that are all over the forum.

Maybe I'm a little more patient than others. Maybe I'm just leaving it to others to say. But I will say two things.

1) If you have extensive background and knowledge, then ask some specific questions. If you don't, then start doing some extensive reading.

2) When you're posting in other people's for-sale threads, don't ask a question that's been answered in the first post. Don't just reply to everyone's for-sale thread saying "can I just bolt this right up?" when they've already said you'll need to fab some parts, or "how much HP does this make" if they've already offered estimates. Again, either you know turbos and can make these estimates for yourself, or you don't and you need to do some reading.

What you want to do with your car is up to you. Your budget is reasonable. But you really do need to do some more looking... turbocharger kits are readily found, and there's whole categories here discussing various prefab kits, with people commenting on the difficulty of install, the power gains, etc. Please, take this opportunity to consider what you're doing, rather than embarassing yourself with your posts.

^No dude. If someone comes to this forum and says they can't find any Miata turbo kits out there and "could you guys help me", it's because they really aren't interested.

Go to google and type in the words miata turbo, here's what you get:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=miata+turbo
It's that ****** easy!

And wes65, ProjectCarMag is the worst thing to happen to the tuner market since the Scion. I do like your third post, but if you have to spell out forum etiquette that much to someone, they're beyond help.

I vote bannage to slomx5 as a lesson to others.

For guys who are just uninformed but who I think are worth saving, I send them this in a PM: http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/posting If they've got a sense of humor, they get it and all is good with their future postings. If they don't get it, then they're a douche and will be gone in a week anyways.

You are lucky the other people got to you while i was at work newb. That being said you can make alot of hp with 4K in a miata turbo setup. Wether you will breack everything from the flywheel back will be another story though. Your diff will explode the gears if you drift and your 5 speed will shredd the gears if you abuse it a whole lot with 250+ lb/ft We are all about doing things cheap and sweat equity hear. There are tons of writeups and reviews of our creative process and the paths we follewed to high hp succes.
