ya know what, the NC is growing on me. I mean mazda could have gone and done some crazy and completely retarted revision, but the nc is fairly true to its roots. I test drove one, didnt feel quite as fun as my 97 with gforce sport tires, but then again i didnt really go hard on it.

bah it only nets 170 ps, wtf is comes with 145 whp stock. NC is cool but they could lose the abs, airbags and probably a few other things and it would be a true miata. Suspension is pretty soft from what i hear as well. I dunno im not gonna say much till i drive one though maybe someday, i will and put it down thuroughly or uplift it to the mazda peeps here until then it's all hear say. Test drives are to see what is has and if it will breack if it breacks on the test drive imagine how it'll act if you get on it for a long time. So i subcribe to the use it all and evalutate school of test driving.

saw that a week ago or so, if you look closely at that sticker, it appears to have 175kw/238 ps vs the old 125kw/170ps. Not too bad. This is the blitz car, but their jap website has nothing listed about it as of yet. Otherwise it appears to use a blow thru maf setup, and should work with the LHD drive cars as well provided you reroute the two coolant pipes that run in between the valve cover/turbo. Changing that alternator however would be a true PITA... Doesn't appear to be losing anything though, all accessories appear just the same.

what I like about the NC is it's kinda homely in stock form... but with a lot of potential for aftermarket body modifications. like **** stars.

235hp vs 168hp

that looks like a complete ****** mess. I can't believe nobody has come up with something more elegant looking. Hell a rear-mount setup would at least keep things good looking under the hood and be a hell of a lot easier to make.

I think the plastic valve cover covers cars have these days are the gayest, most horrendous things ever. What ever happened to a nicely styled valve cover? There is so much plastic sheeting under the hood these days that you cant even see the engine.

No kidding. I would much rather just see the plain black composite-plastic valve cover than the grotesque things they slap on top. Heck, couldn't they even impregnate the plastic used for the actual valve cover with a silver/alloy color?
