Hi... I think I am missing a cruisal part of the puzzle.. the TERMINATOR PLUG! DOH.....

I think ppl had said the LC-1 won't work without that Terminator Plug is stuck tight in one of the HOLES.

Anyone know if the Terminator PLUG could be made DIY?

I have no idea what terminator plug you are talking about, I never used one with mine.

I wouldn't sell it though seeing as the lc1 is one of the best wb you can get for the price.

u sure I won't need that piece for datalog via laptop? Just that on the LC-1 manual mention I needed to plug that Terminator plug to the Serial IN, while I plug the cable from Serial OUT to the laptop.

mine wouldn't work without it

i think all it does is short the + to ground. so you could replicate it by cutting an end off a headphone cable and twisting the wires together. CALL/ EMAIL INNOVATE FIRST, but I believe that's your no/low cost option.

Thanks Ben, I do believe that is what's going on with that Terminator plug. I'll definitly ask the guys in INNOVATE first, but I was afraid to get an answer back with "NO, that's trade sercet or some sort!, Pay $8.00"

OHHHH on the digital i/o. Ya if you wanna use that you need it then. Ben is correct though. Just go to your equivalent of a radio shack and buy one of those headphone plugs that has the screw on back and just connect the leads so it loops the feed. Thats what I am using on mine an it works fine.

Sorry, I didnt understand what you meant before because I never used the onboard datalogging, I used it with MS so I was only using one of the analog outputs for signal. I did use the above terminator in order to change the LC1 outputs though, so I can verify that it will work. Shouldn't cost you more than $1 to make it.

Thx guys.. let me try to find some Headphone jacks... and short the 2 wires together. But just hoping its the right size.

hmm... well I tried 2 computer headphone and mic jacks.. those were a TAD too big for the LC-1.

I'll have to look at mine later then, I know that I bought mine at a local radio shack though. So any electronics parts store near you should have it.

the innovative terminator plug is a 1/8 stereo. Headphones are 3/8. I dont know if stereo or mono will make a difference (2 black bands vs 1)

haha when I said headphone, I thought it was understood that it was the SMALL 1/8" headphone jack, not the full size 3/8"
