Default I have a gas problem

More specifically, I have a lack of gas problem. There isn't any. Every station I passed was dry, so I went out of my way to find more stations, but no joy. I have enough to get to work tomorrow, but probably not enough to make it back.

Not good.

Less than the cost of one gallon, and you can run clear across the country:

That's definitely not good. +1 to oilstain's suggestion. Works every time.

if you get past the moral, ethical, and legal implications of siphoning fuel, then you need to remember that anything modern will have a locking filler door and an anti siphon valve.

I left my house at 7:07 in search of fuel. I passed 12 stations before finding one that had signs up and a line of cars outside. I waited 10 minutes to get a pump. All they had was 87. I got about 9/10ths of a gallon of 87 in the tank before the pump cut off. "Out of gas. Out of gas." came through the station's speakers.

Drove around for 30+ more minutes until finally I found a station that had only premium. Filled up. Just got back in.

Damn...I'd be borrowing a truck and some 50 gallon drums and making a road trip...sell 10/gallon gas to all your neighbors

Damn that's gotta suck. Why is there a gas shortage? We had a few stations run out last weekend, but that was from the stock market **** I do believe. Big panic and everyone was filling up. Is that the case right now in Atlanta?

Metro Atlanta is required by the EPA to use a unique blend of fuel not found anywhere else. The pipelines coming from the texas area are running a limited capacity so a reduced amount of this specific blend is coming through. The reason why stations are running dry is probably not due to just the reduced supply, but is probably a compound effect of panic and supply.

Many cities have unique blends. Some cities may have 2 or 3 different blends. It's freakin bullshit and one of the reasons why gas is so high.

The oil companies have asked the EPA to allow non Atl region specific fuel to be sent to Atlanta until supplies have reached normal levels again. Wouldn't take more than a couple days. So far, that's a no go.

So Atl is running out of water because of poor Army CoE regulations and running out of fuel because of poor EPA regulations. And no one in power will do a damn thing to fix it.

Looking to move checklist:
Affordable housing: check
Plentiful IT jobs: check
gas: ****.
water: ****!

Okay, I guess Atlanta is out. San Antonio is still in the running though, I think. In this day and age, some things you just take for granted, like having water...

I know, great idea! Let's encourage farmers to all grow corn so we can use all the water in the whole country to produce 4.5 gallons of fuel.

I should be in charge here...

And moreover, the local media is not doing anything but helping the panic along with their bullshit stories on the gas issue.

As far as water goes, I have a well that has some pretty damn good water, so no drought here.

Better yet, we should pay them NOT to grow it.

Throw in a 25 dollar surge in price for October deliveries of crude oil.

Lack of gas + expensive gas + more expensive oil. Sigh
