Default Best place to get Robbins top?

Lame. My robbins top came apart where the zipper attaches to the main top piece, above the center of the window. The glass panel looks perfect but I don't think they sell just the main piece.

I want black vinyl zippered glass no defroster. I know I can get them from Moss for $570ish, anyone know of a better (cheaper) place?

Sounds like you already have your mind made up, but I've been very happy with tops from Ebay. You can buy a glass window top for ~$200. Fitment has been great with the 3 I've done. The only one I've had long enough to get a small rip in it lasted 4 years of daily driving, with the top always down to drive and back up when I park. I felt like that was a sufficient life expectancy, especially given the cost.

Thanks fellas, I'll check those out. I didn't consider ebay really, I'm not opposed to a 1/3 price glass top if it's even close to the robbins. Sucks, the top is in great condition other than this ~8" wide seperation on the inside that formed over the winter. wasn't there when I zipped it up last summer for storage, it was there this morning when I went to put the top down for the first time. I also may try gorilla glueing something there to keep it together...It's dead nuts in the center and when zipped the window is fully supported, so the patch would just have to keep the moisture out.

My $700 NA Robbins canvas top with zipper glass window did the same thing. Fail. I replaced it with a NB top assembly. Win.

Hmmm, I figure I'll get a rain rail just in case. That adds about $100. Going to their NB section, price with rain rail & zipper is $475, a cool $100 less than a similar spec'ed top from Moss/Robbins. Not sure why their glass NA series are a bunch more than their NB stuff.

don't know. I'm waiting to hear back from Stacey (I guess the owner?) of MiataTopSource to verify fit of an NB glass streamline in cloth with the M2 hard core bar.

He's pretty responsive.

Also: their tops are KEE brand and have a 5 year warranty.

I have the M2 sport double diag that was made to fit "aftermarket glass" back in the day, and my robbins was something not standard I believe too, something they don't make anymore. Whatever. If you are vouching for miatatopsource that's great, your opinion means much to me y8s

EDIT: I prefer the zipper just cause I often just run around with the top up, all windows down when the sun gets to be too much. It's quite nice that way.

^ Same here.

I'm searching for a roll bar + zippered glass cloth top combo. That's really one of the few things I'm still looking for.

If you just want to repair it, maybe you could stop by Gioia Sails in the Lakewood Industrial Park. They do all of the canvas and upholstery for our boats. They might have a solution for cheap.

Gomiata can lick my ***** after a 10 mile run... owner has had some shitty business practices in the past.

I can't rightfully vouch for them yet... I haven't bought the top!
