Default Flip up awesomeness

Alright, My headlights work great, motors are still fast and strong, and rise in sync, not bad considering they are original motors and everything, and the car is a million years old. I let the car sit for about 3 months 2 winters ago, and afterwards everything seemed to work perfectly. Until it rained.... Now When it rains my headlights wont go down... OR, they will go down half way. giving that Mad tyte d0rift0 Sleepy look

took these yesterday on the way to work, because i decided to try to get to the bottom of this problem finally.

It was rainy yesterday, so i didnt get to do much looking around, I just went on a 15 minute break, and snooped around a bit, and found this in the rear passenger side of the bay

looks like my cat sucks at killing mice, because i found a nest with this underneath.

IM THINKING (because i havent had time to test or look at wiring diagrams being that im at work) that because i have those awesome whorespower adding hood spacers, that water is getting in there, and touching this exposed wire.
Sound like a decent assumption??? Anyone else have a problem like this? or is my Car just a unicorn???

exactly... lmao

When its dry out, The car has absolutely ZERO headlight issues... best flip up headlight car ive ever owned... but ever since it sat, when it rains, My car gets very sleepy... OR, wont go to sleep at all. Headlights stay up until everything is dry it seems

Im betting its that damn wire, i just havent been able to pull up a diagram to confirm this.

Yeah! those ********....

lol

ACTUALLY... the PO installed the spacers... i went to remove them, and the hood rubs both the hot side piping, AND the Air filter... It actually wore a hole in the skeleton on the underside of the hood.... So, had to keep them.
Once i finish getting everything i need for the overhaul (including MS) i can relocate the filter and piping, and fix that stupid looking hood. lol
