Godspeed Rad with Slim Fans/ FCM Coilovers/ DIY 3" Exhaust
So after I got my car back home , after grenading the factory radiator, I went ahead and put the car on stands as I was expecting my FCM coilovers within a week or so. While I was at it, I jumped on the Godspeed bandwagon and got some slim fans along with it. Shaikh got busy, and didn't get the coilovers sent as soon as we had expected, so I decided to go ahead and make a new 3" exhaust since I had it in the air anyway and had some time. It had been on the to do list for a little while.
So here we go..
Here is how it all started..
You can see my cat delete, FM 2.5" Turbo midpipe and a turndown I made for it (just for fun) next to the 3" stainless I bought. Still in the development stages at this point. (FM Turbo Exhaust will be for sale shortly if anyone is looking for one)
A couple of pics of it just tacked together.
Finishing up all the welds.
Here are a couple of the welds themselves. I'm not great with the camera, but you get the idea.
I'll get some more pics up of the rest of it as i get some more time.

Well, I can manage to throw enough molten metal at something with a Flux-MIG welder that it sticks. Certainly ain't pretty, but I haven't had one break yet.
I see these guys doing better-than-factory looking stuff in their garage with TIG and it just makes me want to cry.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it. I got lucky and had a close friend buy a TIG. So I taught myself and get to use it once in a while when I have a project.
Mania - I'll certainly give you a PM. It will be for the whole exhaust including the muffler, if that matters to you or not.
And on with the pictures!
Teardown.
Oops.. Still don't know how this one happened.. Somehow sheared all four bolts at the recent autox
Godspeed..

Very nice.
As long as that turn down is included
Are you planning on running a muffler on it? I didn't see if you had mentioned that or not...if so what?

I'm going to run it without a muffler to begin with. It wasn't too much with the turndown, and I would expect it to be similar with the 3". If it starts to irritate me I will probably throw a resonator or a small muffler on it. Welcome to suggestions.

Well I got the exhaust all finished tonight. Finally put the wheels back on it and this weekend I'm gonna start it up and fill it up with coolant. I haven't driven it in damn near a month now and its getting to me..
Here are some pics of the new coilovers.
And a pic of what came out (also will be for sale soon)
Koni Yellow's and RB Street Springs
Pics and maybe a vid soon to come.

Got it all put back together today. I think I have finally convinced myself I'm gonna have to run a muffler. It's just too loud to drive on the street. I'm thinking about running one of the round Magnaflows. Does anyone have any experience with them?
Here is a vid of it currently.

Well I'm still trying to decide on whether I want the 4" or 6" version. I don't want to get the 6" and it be stupid quiet. At the same time I don't want to get the 4" and it not muffle anything.. Damn these decisions..
