anyway, who knows how high the preload is on the kaaz lsd?
about to order one and they might adjust for me so it saves me the hassle..
or just order and leave as is?

I don't have one but people say thing like 90% lock is fun. You could always adjust it when you got it.

Back in the day, we would just weld that sucker locked.

Well he was talking about a Kaaz, we welded the rear in my 69 Opel GT. LSDs for that car were outrageous $$, worse than a torsen for a miata.

Scott, you put your rx7 rear to full lock didn't you?

ill tell ya what, when you get a locking diff in there it really changes the way the back end kicks out under power, i spun right around the first few times i tried to get sideways after the rx7 diff.

i'll watch my back then the first few miles

when dropping the kaaz unit in, just reuse the bearings or get new ones?
same for the axle-clips?

I've just got a 3.9 Torsen, but haven't put it in yet. Can hardly wait. Next step clutch upgrade and turbo.

welded diffs are fun, so easy to slide out....only annoying thing is that in ow rpms most of em tend to "skip" for lack of a better word

is the kaaz unit 'unlocked' enough so low speed turns and parking isn't a PITA?

"One tire fire"

Are you running a 1.6 or 1.8 diff?

what made you decide on the Kaaz as opposed to a clutch type from an rx7?

given there are about zero junkyards here with rx7s, I'd have to get both from abroad. So I'd rather buy a new diff than a 18 y-o I haven't seen or know it's history
