Default Keep blowing out boost gauges

This is now the fourth gauge I've had to trash. This all started happening after I put the MS in. It happens when you put the key to the 2nd position. You hear a little pop come from under the hood, then all of a sudden you look at the boost gauge and it is pointing to somewhere that doesn't even have a number. Any ideas? The line is t-ed off of the stock FPR.

Yeah, you're backfiring into the intake and breaking boost gauges by overboosting the crap out of them. Do the Joe Perez inverted spark mod to get rid of the key-on backfires.

Well, I had sent my MS to brain for him to do the mod but for some reason I just blew another gauge?

he has the updated spark mod, so the backfires shouldn't be happening anymore, and either way, it shouldn't create enough pressure to destroy a boost gauge...

I managed to fix this on my MSPNP equipped supercharged 1600. I was very motivated, as each time it happened it would blow the charge pipe off destroying the radiator fans and/or the radiator itself. The charge pipe was part of the throttled area in my supercharged setup. The fix was to simply set the priming pulse to .1 (basically eliminating it).

Well, not sure if mattered either but looks like I had the boost gauge in line of the egr valve not the fpr line. I went ahead and removed the egr valve and covered the hole left since all the other egr stuff has been pulled anyways. I guess off to buying another gauge and seeing if it works.
