Just so this does not disappear, I am working with nitrodann to get some imported to the US for a bit cheaper then buying them new from Mazda. For the first batch he will be shipping 5 to the US. Once nitrodann and I have worked out the details and cost I will be starting a thread in the For Sale section. People willing to put cash down up front will be going to the start of the line.

Lars, does this officially mean that Ryan is not going to be the stateside liaison for this. In his OP here he indicated he was in contact with Dann, and in another thread, Dann confirmed as much. There's even a post from Erat indicating his own (separate) communication and some agreement prior to that. Regardless, I will still be happy to front cash, but I (and maybe a few others) just want to be clear who's running the show on this end. Thanks.

I do not know if Ryan is still in or not. I will need to talk to Dann more and figure that out. I was simply going off post 37 where Dann mentioned that he needed a volunteer, so I figured I would step up and get this going. At the end of the day, I could care less who is in charge, I just want to make sure this happens, as I want some gears myself.

Rare, not mythical. I had a set that, after searching for years, ended up selling to Randy Stocker too cheap.

According to mazda motorsports they did not exist, at least not in a stock vehicle. Maybe someone made a custom run of them back in the day but they did not come as an option in the diesel B-series trucks.

Sorry for the delay, I was at Sonoma this weekend racing and hadn't had a chance to get on the forum. If Lars wants to front the money for 5 or whatever I don't care, I was hoping for getting more than 5 over for the first batch, but you guys can do whatever you want. It really doesn't matter to me how they get over, I just want my gears lol so if I do it or someone else does it, it's fine with me. Let's just get this **** going.

Mazda said the 3.303 ratio existed, but only in the 7.5" ring gear. Which doesnt fit the miata front housing. And if I have to figure out mounting a different front section I'm just going to put in a 7.5" ford.

I would like a set of the gears from whomever actually gets them. I think Dan has three people here now all thinking they are the man? I volunteered as well......was even willing to front the money for them. Lars, let me know when you have some on their way and I will get with you to make payment arrangements.

I have talked to Ryan and am in contact with with a few others. I will most likely be taking lead on this. On the plus side this means most likely everyone who gets one with get mt.net decals. Once I have confirmed with everyone that I am going to take lead I will be starting a group buy thread in the for sale section. All future updates will be there.

A few people PM'd me, but lars was the first to say firmly, that he would front the money and lets do it now.

Im not in the position to, nor would I want to front 3500 dollars to send 10 sets into the states, with no way of contacting anyone who asked, and of course, **** waiting for 10 people to actually put money down.

I think a firmly written email or 2 with all of the details and agreements using our paypal emails and a transfer through paypal is the way to go, the 45 day agreement gives me plenty of time to have them collected, and then shipped and this offers lars protection, not that he will need it.

Lars:

So how is this going to work? Just a crazy free-for-all and whoever gets in first gets gears? Because there is no way I'm going to see that thread start, or be one for the first ten to respond

I have a rough list of about 20-23 people who have expressed interest in getting sets. The top 5 spots or so are pretty much finalized as to who is getting in for those. After that I will go down based on people who have expressed interest of putting cash up front. The issue is going to come with the more we want to get shipped over, the higher the cost is going to be. Currently I am waiting on Dann to get back to me with more details. Once we have worked out details I will post the GB thread with prices and my list of people. If you have already messaged me about getting a set I have made sure you are on the list, for anyone else, please hold off on pming me until Dann and I have finalized details.

Why is that Lars? I thought it would be just the opposite.
