I am currently in the market for a used miata, I have found a 90 1.6 turbo'd intercooled miata here localy for a good price. I was wondering if there was anything special I needed to look for on the turbo side. I know a bit about cars and I am a Helicopter mechanic for a living so I know a good job or bad.
Just wondering if there is anything specific I need to look for in a 115000 mile turbo car.

I will call the guy first thing in the morning and find out what I can.

check the compression,look for rust maybe lift the rug.tell him to make a list of all the parts.ex what type of injectors,turbo engine managment.

well guess I was a day late. The car is gone. Well guess I am just going to have to find a decent one here in Florida and do a kit or DIY project myself

I have located another miata in the Tampa area. It is listed on miata.net I am going to look at it on the 4th. The deal seems to be on the up and up.

I am not worried about the high mileage. I can do some engine work if needed. I just need to learn about the turbo system and how to tume it
