Default What's a good selling price for a Miata

I have an 01 Miata with 59k condition is pretty good, it will be stock. I have a turbo on it now and I'm wanting to buy an older Miata. Do you guys think I should sell everything off of it or just sell as is?

That's pretty much what I was going to do. I pretty upset with the car so maybe this wanting to sell will go away.

Well a lot of it is my fault, but here is some of the stuff bothering me. Motor mounts are broken, my exhaust hits my differential and makes a horrible sound. I have the replacements but can never find time to fix it. Rotors need to be turned, and the front pads need to be replaced. There seems to be a loss of power. All the issues fall under basic maintenance but I just can't find time to fix them. Obviously they have to be attended to in order to sell the car. I need to do a compression check to make sure the engine is good, if it is a will probably fix everything and keep it.

So you're going to buy an older miata, that's probably in the same contition? All of that is an easy fix...except for the turbo problems that won't go away unless you look at them.

Yes that is true, I guess I'm trying to weigh my options. Maybe I was ranting too much

yeah, I think it's safe to say that a 10+ year old car will have more problems than your 6 year old car. Fix the problems (replace the rotors, replace exhaust rubber hangers, and motor mounts). Those 3 will take a Saturday afternoon and about $250 assuming you get reasonable parts.

Where do you live? Consider finding a miata club and go to a tech day, should be able to diagnose and fix the engine trouble there.
