Default OK... biting the bullet.

I'm finally biting the bullet and am going to go ahead and buy an ACT hd clutch.

Ive seen them on good-win-racing.com, is there anywhere else i can get them cheaper?

Thanks, I'm just trying to save as much money as possible for other mods.

Edit: Shitty spelling...

tq limits around 200 ft-lbs...so, around 180 hp...10 psi you should be fine, 12psi like brainaic and you start slipping a bit b/c its at its thresh hold.

actually it's rated at 233 ft/lbs, and from what I understand it's under rated.
One of the guys at FM has one on his 300rwhp car for 40k miles and it's holding up.

talking about the 1.8 size, not 1.6 size

Turboimport.com
1 ACT clutch kit for 89-93 Miata
part # ZM1-HDR4
sale price - $269.63
In 2005 though, still the same price in their website.

Great service, although no phone was lited at the time.
Fidanza flywheels were also cheaper there.

I have the ACT HD on my car @ around 250-260whp for some time now. When I pulled the motor and looked at it, it looks just fine after plenty of abuse.

Hmm one last thing before i buy. This may be a dumb question but just making sure, the clutch details say "must use flywheels 600255 or 600290", is that the stock flywheel or what?

Just making sure it will work fine with my stock flywheel and will be a straight easy swap in.

Thanks!

Nate.

Get yourself a new 1.8 flywheel and the 1.8 clutch kit. You'd have to get your old small flywheel resurfaced and balanced anyway.

"Can use ZM2-XTOO, must use flywheels 600255 or 600290"

Heh, thats saying you CAN use the 1.8 clutch kit (thats what ZM2-XTOO is) but you would have to use the 1.8 flywheel as well.

but, that is the 1.6 clutch kit.
