Default Early 1.8 diff w. stub/flanged shafts - removable?

As above - blew up my 2nd 1.6 diff, got a Torsen on ebay.

Its the early (93,94?) 1.8 Torsen which still uses a bolt-up driveshaft and a flanged stub in the diff.

Thus I need to purchase the (rare and expensive) 1.8 bolt up shafts.

Question - are the flanged stubs removable, such that I can buy and fit the far cheaper and more readily available push-in type 1.8 driveshafts from the late Mk1, and all Mk2 cars?

yes they pop right out and any other 1.8 axle besides the msm fit in their place. Advance auto sells new, not rebuild NB ABS axles.
