Default Standalone Blinkers/brake lights help

Hello folks, as of recent i got a second vehicle that needs a lot of work. This may not be a miata directly but its similar.

I'm looking to add blinkers and brake lights to a vehicle that doesnt have them. Anyone has any experience with what i need to buy?

There are loads of universal turn signal switches out there. Google "universal turn signal switch"

As for brake lights, a lot of vehicles (including VW Beetles) used to use pressure switches attached to the brake line to actuate the lights. You can find these cheaply and plentifully in the aftermarket with just a Google search as well, and this will probably be easier to implement than a plunger switch on the pedal.

Examples:

How about these? Would the pressure switch go where the "stoplight" is and then to 12v?

No, there are several basic types, mostly differentiated by whether they have two, three or four terminals. But since you're doing this from scratch, any one that works with LEDs can be wired in.

The place you linked to earlier sells this one: LED Flasher - Electronic flasher for LED lights

No relays needed. These are all fairly low-current loads, even more so if using LEDs.
