miata: rev limit in 5th with a 4.30:1 rear.
others: ~200 in a b production vette (no speedo, actual unknown)
170+ on a couple different sportbikes
150 in my E Class, and it was pulling when it hit the limiter.

I hit pretty close to 128 in the 95, Speedo Indicated 140 in the Speed Miata, hit fuel cut in the speed6 at 154mph I believe (Scary) and topped out my bike at 161mph (Gps). At that speed, 14,300rpm off the redline in sixth gear will eat 3 gallons of fuel in around 20 miles with my tune. Top end run I'm side by side with stock 2005 600RR. Don't ride on the street anymore.

After reading these posts, I now can understand why my Miata could not go faster than 113mph in the quarter mile. I was hitting some great times up through the eighth mile, but then it felt like it was hitting a wall. I had the stock ECU then and It never got quicker than a 14.2 sec quarter no matter what I did. I ran three runs, 14.7, 14.6, and 14.2 all at 113 mph. With the E manage I hope it will run a little faster in the top end.

Ran out of gear in these:
1986 Pontiac Feiro SE (4 cyl) - 132 or so, judged from tach
1977 Kawasaki KZ1000 - 150-155, short gears, but it gets there *QUICK* with 215+ hp, even without a fairing
1989 Suzuki Katana 750 - probably 145-150 range?
1987 Pontiac Feiro (4 cyl) - 132 or so, judged from tach
~2006 (rental) Ford Cargo Van: 99.9, GPS verified rev limiter. Just to see if it had one.
Owned, but never made it to redline in top in these:
1979 Suzuki GS400 - 110 once, got pulled over, the cop asked me how fast I was going, and I really, really wanted to tell him cause I was SO proud.
1989 Kawasaki Ninja 600 - Er, just never felt the need? Quick for what it was
1984 Honda Magna. Are you kidding? That was scary in a parking lot. Also it wouldn't top like 60 unless you downshifted to get past the flat spot in the midrange.
1998 Honda SuperHawk. Huge wobblies at like 70-120 depending on the day. I'm sure it would go pretty quick though
Whew! I was starting to think I was insane. Yes, I too have run my *stock* miata to redline or very close to it. It took it's sweet time, but what the hey, I didn't have anything else going on at the time. :-)
Yeah, really, what do you expect? Ever go online and read published specs? Some cars are faster than others, and it's not a matter of being a better driver or wanting it more. The more scientific explination is that it's a convertable (horrible wind drag) and a 100 whp car.
Oh, I forgot one excelent ride:
