Default I lost............

Just raced a WS6 Firebird with intake, headers, and exhaust. He pulled a car on me off the launch cause a spun, and never pulled another inch all the way to 100. I feel pretty good about it, one length isnt bad at all. I ran 13psi, poor engine.

My setup.
Stock '99 engine
turbonetics t3/t4
FM piggy back
2.5" turbo back
no cat
255/30/18's out back, oh ****.

yea, I wanted to go again but he wouldnt. I havent had the car very long so I'm still not used to launchin it. I would have yanked his *** off the line in my '94, then it would have fell flat on its face.

Those tall-*** tires are not helping you at all. I'd expect to walk away from a WS6 Trans-Am with my setup.

13 psi on an FM piggyback? Do you mean Voodoo box or something else?

Unless your car weighs 2000lbs you're expectations are too high.

I'm running the kit that uses four additional injectors instead that only engage under positive pressure, that should clear it up for ya.

very true yeah. HP/wieght is only half the equation traction and ability are the rest. Most of us suffer the most in the traction department.

You're right. I'm a decent driver, I've been racing for several years, but you know how it is every time your in a different car, its like a whole new game. I plan on going to the track in a couple of weeks and seeing what kind of et's I put down. I ran a 9.1 in my turbo civic with no lsd and on 185 width tires. If I cant beat that with the miata I'll be royally pissed. I think it will all be in the 60ft.

yeah its boosted- Good luck at the dragstrip. Your right the 60' is tough. I ran a 2.49 60' with stock 185 tires spinning, but pulled a 9.38@74, so there's room for improvement. I too believe it's all in the 60' times.

My best time with my civic was with a 2.30 60ft. Near bald tires. What really helped me is that we tuned it with chrome pro which utilizes full throttle launch control. It's cool, kinda works like a rally car's anti lag system, you pull a **** load of timing and add a bunch of fuel on the launch control and you can build like 8psi on the line at about 4000rpm's. Then just pedal it out and tease the **** out of it and you can rip first gear. I might also add that I burned up 3 300wtq clutched doing this while preloading the suspension before launch, lol.

EDIT: The afformentioned civic weighs in at 2250lbs.

Yea, I'm hoping for something between 2.2-2.0 60' times now. I got new 225-50 YOKOHAMA's ES 100's. Still need a torsen, so I likely won't hit lower than a 2.2. It's my understanding that taking a tenth of your 60' takes off MORE than a tenth off your time. Isn't that right? I believe my car would run 8's.

Thats possible, maybe it a momentum thing, lol. What kind of power are you putting down and what is the weight of your car? I've got a torsen if you wanna buy it + your open diff. Gotta sell my 94 :(

I hit a 2.2 60' a few weeks ago on 185's and managed a 16.2 1/4 on only 4psi. Not bad for 4psi at elevation. A vert Mustang GT ran a 16.4, so I felt good.

Well, Right now I've got about 200 at the wheels as an estimate. A lot of head work and a 100 shot nitrous. I could use a torsen, but I'm in college and don't really have much money right now. However, if the price was right, I could not eat for a while and get it. Let me know what you want for it.

About the 60' times. Here's the way I see it. It seems that taking a tenth off the 60' times takes around 2 tenths off the overall time. I know a guy with a 240 that can run a 2.2 60' all day long on street tires. I can outrun him on the steets easy, and my trap speed is always higher than his, but he runs a 9.4.
