is it time to buy some dial indicators and do it myself? I can't seem to find anyone who will put it together, so I'm pretty much stuck doing it on my own.

Ship it out to someone that will. That is not something you want to **** up. Its to easy to ruin it for good by just being off a couple thou. Its small enough as a pumpkin that you should be able to ship it anywhere for a cheap price.

Shove it into a large flat rate usps box, 15 bucks if it comes out under 70lbs.

are there any differences what-so-ever with rear end cases? I have a 4.10 torsen pumpkin that I'm trying to swap into and we thought it was a bad R&P so I picked up another 3.63 to try again.

I installed my 3.9 ring and pinion myself and it is still running just fine after several thousand miles. (knock on wood)

? that makes no sense dude. Are you
swaping the complete 3.6 r&p into the 4.1 pumpkin or trying to get away with swappinng just the ring gear? Or some bastardized setup somewhere in between?

FWIW all of the pumpkins are the same. After you set your pinion depth you check your gear tooth engagement and then set your backlash. After having seen it done, the **** is not that hard so long as you are carefull.

Do it yourself. Rear ends are cake!

You can get a chinese Dial indicator for < 40$ including the magnet base. I've done many a rear end with one.

You can't find a single four-wheeler shop in Texas that will do it?

5 gallon paint bucket = perfect for shipping pumpkins. Even leave the handle on it for carrying.

Thrash Differential in San Antonio will do it. He did my 3.63 swap. Talk to Charlie Thrash, been doing this **** for longer than you (and maybe I) have been alive. Works with fast cars a lot.

No, I now have 2 Mazdaspeed 3.63 R&P kits.

Are you sure they're the same? People say the 1.8 axles are all the same but I've had a set that did not fit in the hub-splines.

There is a guy on the S2000 forums that builds and sells some really nice diffs. He's offered to help me out with mine several times. I'm sure he would be willing to set yours up. He even builds some "unbreakable" S2000 diffs if you were looking to beef it up a little I would think he could do that as well. His name is Ben, number is 352-650-3763, and his name on S2ki.com is S2KPUDDYDAD, if you want to look for some feedback on some of his work.

I scanned the entire differential section on the FSM if anyone wants it. The only special tools you really need is a bar torque wrench and the dial indicator. The Micrometer is helpful, but I've never used one.
