Default Painting My Kosei K1's (56k: Hate Life)

So the history is:

I picked up a pair of Kosei K1's 16x7 to replace my Enkei RS7 17x7s. Weight comparison Kosei =13.5lbs Enkei= 17 lbs. I found the ad on craigslist for a set of "well used Kosei" with new tires. I picked them up that weekend for 250 dollars. They had road rash and were really missing their stickers. So I immediately talked to Brain and read his painting FAQ. Following the color decision I picked up some Duplicolor Wheel Paint, a free Spanish newspaper, sandpaper, and begin my task. A couple key points: its definitely noticable if you sand after your final heavy coat of clear, and follow that up with a final coat of clear. I managed to pick up some new stickers for them free via TireRack (thanks Brain) for that final touch. Follow that up with a re-clear.
Here is the pictures, more to come:

I believe the Notecard Defense Program was part of Reagan's Star Wars Missile Defense System, but i digress. That's ingenious. I wish I thought of that when i spent an hour masking off my steelies.

Looks good.

Yeah I kind of hired a specialty shop.. Being a specialty shop that means they only work the minimum amount of hours they need to in order to support their racing habit (RX-7s and Spec Miata). I should have pictures in the next few weeks of the car. As for the stripes you can see them on the avatar or the MT.net banner.

--> so what you did step by step??? I tried on mine but they still look dusty/sparkly. they don't look set like in the finished product on yours.
I washed
sanded
sprayed (color)
sprayed (clear)
I probably did something wrong...

Where did you purchase the stickers? I asked tirerack about them when I order mine and they told me they didn't have any and couldn't get any. One of the deciding factors of why I didn't paint mine.
