Default 13 inch wheel with drag tire?

I saw a picture a looooong time ago when i joined this forum of someone who had a 13 inch with a mickey T or an M&H slick on the rear. He had just gone to the track and borrowed them from a honda guy i think. Anyone have any clue what im talking about or are there any other pics with a similar set up? I have 13x8x24.5 m/t slicks and im trying to figure out what wheel setup will work the best. I want the least amount of tire poke as possible with out rubbing anything on the inner fender. I know this may be a little tough with such a tall tire. Any help would be awesome!

Some diamond racing steelies would probably be your best bet, or rota RB's

both of which can be found in a 13x8 with several offset choices

Lenso makes a great 13x7.5 but the offset will probably result in serious fender rub.

.I have a set of dimonds now but they are the wrong offset, the lensos are not available anymore I don't think. I was thinking of 13x7 with a 4" offset from dimond but I don't want tire poke.

Just to let you know, the sidewall width of the 13x24.5x8 is 10.5 inches wide. It maybe a problem getting it to work right. A 22x8x13 is over an inch narrower at the sidewall, and actually has a slightly wider tread width. Even a 15x24.5x8 is narrower than the 13" variant at the sidewall. You will have to get the backspacing just right to keep from hitting the coilovers.

Take your time and do some measuring. Go to the Mickey Thompson website and you can get all the tread, sidewall, and circumference specs.

I have a 15x22x8 and it tucks nicely under the fenders, and is plenty far enough away from the coilovers.

I tried the 24.5 Slick on my 1990 Miata and it rubbed big time and all I had was a smoke show. NB wheel well looks a little bigger..

I had a kick *** set of OOOOLLLLLLLDDDDD Magnesium Panasports on my '95, they were without a doubt the LIGHTEST wheel i have ever felt at ~6lbs a piece and they were 13X8, never seen another set just like 'em so doesn't help you out too much, I'll see if I can track that set down if you'd like?
