the position of that shifter looks downright painful. i've seen some weird setups on older vw's, but that pretty much matches anything i've seen from that crowd.

What's so ghetto about it? The stick shift? That's all I see. They did a damn good job on the motor mounts and pulley bracket IMO. Yes, the firewall mod could've been painted, but I don't think they were interested in pretty.

my guess is that its a ford motor. its a fwd motor for sure. that shifter was hanging on nothing as the tranny and read end was removed. looking at it, it had a supercharger on it at some point also.

Custom supercharger work... so safe to assume it isn't a factory SC motor?

Looks to be chain drive?

Composite one piece valve cover?

I'm really going through motor ideas here... not finding visual matches... its annoying

valve cover (besides that odd port), coolant port, and two pullies match perfectly.

intake side is on the driver's side, no? i see injector holes.

and I think that "can" is oil filler hole.
