The paint job looks good, if you clean the bay and paint those spark plug wire holders black it would look 5x better IMO.

Think so? I painted them red because i was originally going to do the letters red also, then i wished after i painted them red that i hadnt done that.. lol oh well

Next I'll do the IC pipes, and clean up the engine bay a lot.. I have time to tinker with it for a few days because i accidently stripped an oil feed fitting for the turbo so i cant drive it till it comes in

I originally wanted to do crinkle finish instead of gloss black, i thought it would look sweet, but i couldnt find it in high temp

How well does it hold up? I got mine powdercoated a candied blue, came out real good. I was thinking about getting my spares powdercoated crinkle finish.

Is there an easy/easier way to take the IM off?

paint the front timing belt cover black too, I did that to mine, with a black wrinkle spray paint on the valve cover and it looks great.

I was going to paint mine, but according to M.net it's easier to remove the head and intake manifold as one piece, and then remove the intake manifold, vs. trying to remove just the IM.

Yeah, to me the red stands out too much.

I've used krylon wrinkle on two different car's VCs and never had a problem with it not being high-temp. Just don't use it on your turbine housing and you'll be good.
