Default Gotta Love New Parts

Nothing feels better than when I come home and there's a new package at the door, so I figured I'd share my newly installed stuff. Got my HDHCSD rollbar in (it was a PITA too). My buddy hooked me up with some new Schroth Profi II's for tha free, so I tossed them in while I was at it. Got my new front mount in too, but I won't be installing it until finals are over. This car is finally coming together

I would not run race harnesses with the stock seats. They are extremely unsafe that way. If you want to run the harnesses you need race seats that have holes for the shoulder belts and a hole for the sub belt.

I'll be the first to say that harnesses with stock seats = major fail.

lawls.

I run them in autox, but I aslo keep the stock seat belt. 5-pt on the street is a pita, race seat or not.

I do have a proper drivers seat coming after Christmas. I really don't see a major safety issue other than maybe not having holes in the seat for the shoulder belts. I made sure all the straps were at proper angles when I installed them and I'm moving the sub straps back to the same mounting points as the lap belts for the time being. And yes, they are kind of a PITA but since it's not driven that much, I don't mind.

If you do wreck, your face will "Dale Earnhardt" into the steering wheel and if you live you'll get years and years of reconstructive surgery...that is if your health insurance covers you which they won't due to the gross negligence of installing that harness on a factory seat.

I rarely drive my car too but I predict you won't have the harness tight enough on the street if someone bad ever happens and you'll wish you had the stock belt.

Then again, kill yourself or smash your face, I don't give a ****.

+1 for stock seats and harness = as unsafe as having unprotected sex with hookers.

Hahaha, point taken. I guess I'll be throwing the stockers back in till I get my seat.

Even if you did have a proper seat with the race harness, what happens if you mack a dear? Not like you can duck down to avoid the big *** hunk of meat, bone and antlers coming through your front windshield. Use a seatbelt on the street and harness on the track.
