This thread gets asked weekly... do a title search for the word clutch and start reading.

FM's new clutches would seem to be the shiznit, but I'd like to hear some guys who are running big power through them after 5-10k miles and see what they say. FM will probably tell you for 250whp, the Stg1 is acceptable. Stay away from puck'd clutches.

I have an ACT HD in my car, and drove the FM Stg 1 a few days ago. I had to ask someone if the pedal effort was for real. Super easy for a clutch that is rated for 318 ft/lb.

"best clutch" is not a term that goes along with the XTD available on ebay. That's not to say I don't like it - in fact, I love my XTD after putting it in last week, but let's be realistic, its torque handling comes from the 6-puck design and the ultra-grippy ceramic compound which translates into a very immediate/sudden clutch engagement - it's not a fun clutch for reversing uphill into a parking spot or stop and go traffic, but if you are like me and want affordability and are willing to sacrifice 'streetability' even though it is street driven, it works. It grips like crazy, and that was my #1 need.

best setup for daily driving and occasional fun is organic full-face disc with some badass pressure plate (i really like centerforce pressure plates)

Don't get me wrong, there are a ton of them out there right now. That's just the first time I had driven a car with one installed.

Wow, I had no idea FM even had a new clutch out, sounds like they perfected it! I have had an ACT HD since 2002 and still going strong.

ACT full organic clutch here, and I love it. Why cheap out on a clutch and hate your car? I've driven several vehicles with cheap ebay puck clutches, and if you're using your car to drive in traffic, you'll hate it.

I'm sure the FM clutch is great.

I loved my ACT. It was hard and heavy. My girl couldn't drive it. And I felt like I was in a Muscle car not a girly 4 banger. When you pushed it in, You felt like you where in a race car.

And It was in or out. I loved it.

Next best thing to vagina.
