I have them. Thanks for dropping them off while I was gone and sorry about the messy garage to put them in.

Snap a few non-proprietary pics through the process...I'd be real interested to see how its done...I'm one of those "How its made", "How do they do it?", "Ultimate Factories" guys, lol!

Can we get the flares in urethane or something a little more plyable than fiberglass?

You gotta buy the real ones for that , lol!

I'm sure Robert's fiberglass ones will be top notch though...

It might be something to look into though. Cost and time required for each piece may be less.

hardly seems worth it for a cosmetic part.

all three materials can be made thin enough that weight difference is negligible. not to mention there's no stiffness issues because the part is dome-shaped and inherently resists bending and flex.

In order for me to get any benefit out of the carbon, i would have to get a whole system that I can't justify getting right now. That and the only place I have found that sells carbon, sells it for damn near $45 a yard and I would need a couple yards to make the layers.

I Kinda agreewith that,I just am looking to be really light.I cut out the whole trunk floor and replaced it in 7075 Aluminum.I"m cutting out all the fat,More lightness! What about S-2 glass?Stronger, stiffer, need less materials.
