Default Can a leaking injector be serviced?

I sent out 4 RX7 injectors I purchased to be tested and one came back as having a leak. The place I'm using says that it can't be fixed. From looking at the witchhunter page it appears that one of the things fixed by a servicing (cleaning) is a leaky injector. Has anyone had a leaking injector fixed by a cleaning?

I'm tempted to have them clean the bad injector to see if it'll fix the problem, but don't want to waste the guys time (or my $$$) if it is hopeless.

This puts a crimp in my plan to have my car running this weekedn :( Should have got the injectors cleaned and tested months ago I guess.

I'm not real sure about this. I know that when they leak internally they have to be rebuilt and RX7 injectors can't be rebuilt. If leaking means that it leaks out the nozzle then i could see a cleaning helping it but if you just had them serviced then it obviously didn't fix the problem. I would look on rx7club for another and go that route.

Heck send em out to get cleaned then. You should before you use them anyway so you know you have similar flow/spray patterns. Witchhunter should do you right.

That's what I was doing, having them flow tested During the test they told me one of the injectors was leaking and unusable. I'm wondering if going ahead and having the leaking injector clean has any hope of making it usable.

Thanks for the info.

Call again and find out what they meant by leaking, because like i said if it's leaking internally its trash.

I had the same problem as you do with a leaking rx7 injector, except I had 4 injectors that leaked.

My experience with them were the biggest pain in the *** cause those POS injectors flooded my engine on all 4 cylinders and hydolocked the engine. They were a complete waste of money cause I spent $180 for the injectors + having them cleaned.

My experience with this is that I will never cheap out and buy used injectors again, and to just bite the bullet and buy brand new injectors for now on,no matter what they cost(don't wanna go through that bullshit again).
