Just wondering if anyone has ever made a two part foam seat like in open wheel cars.. Not a insert for a seat thats two big , but a custom fit seat.

More importantly, why, and what would you possibly do with it? It would be absolutely good for nothing if you have to pass any kind of inspection.

I believe he's referring to bolting a pad to the floor and one to parcel shelf wall, creating a seat. You know, in case you're 7' tall and NEED a miata.

Would that be legal though? I thought both street and track cars had to have tested and certified safety equipment? I don't see the point still. I do know what you are talking about though, I've seen them in old cars and kit cars, but never a Miata.

Speaking of 7' tall, what is the tallest/biggest person you have ever seen in a Miata? Charles Barkley wanted to sit in my car a few weeks ago (family friend) but couldn't even begin to fit. I'm tempted to remove the seat just so he can try to get in for a photo op of big ****** in tiny car. I'm sure taller have been, but mid 6' and like 250lbs, he's pretty decent size. His hands would swallow my 8 ball shifter, which is a bit big in my hands.

Yes, we do this all the time at work... though they ARE in open wheel cars (and sports racers and Can Am cars.)

We make the seats in our FSAE car out of 2lb marine foam... Whats the point of this thread?

I'm just wondering if anyone has eaten a taco while doing a turbo install like in a taco time garage.. Not a soft taco that's too big, but a custom hard shell.
