Default Turn signals not functioning

I'm retarded with wiring and I've been banging my head against this one for a while, figured I'd see if you've got any ideas...

I've a '93 5speed with cruise control and power windows. A couple of months back I was in a three-car accident (rear ended by a jackass, hit thep erson in front of me) and my turn signals got destroyed (among other things). I won't go into semantics but essentially my insurance is sh*t and I had to do a lot of the repair work myself.

So, I replaced the turn signal assembly's with OEM Mazda. Long story short, the bulbs function perfectly... driving lights, etc., but when I try and use the turn signal nothing happens. I get the audible clicking in the cabin, but the lights stay solid. Green arrows also don't flash on the dash. My 4 way flashers also don't work.

Of note, previous owner did install an aftermarket electric horn, which I disconnected after the accident. Maybe this is the problem?

Let me know if you guys have any ideas.

Did you check the fuses? shorts in the wiring?

Most cars have a simple clicker for the turn signals. The Miata doesn't. There's actually a turn signal controller box that incorporates some electronics. I'll bet it got fried if your wiring was shorted to ground. Normally, they're 100% reliable.

FLASHER UNIT (HE01-66-830) - $68.98 - HE0166830

They're not cheap (about $70), so it would be wise to ohm out all the wiring going to this little box and verify you don't have any shorts first.

On my car the left turn signal wasn't working 99.9 percent of the time but everything else was. The right 1 was working fine. And my driving lights were working fine.
I replaced the flasher and now all my turn signals work perfect.
