Things at FM tend to be a bit pricey. Im a broke bum, so that might have a lot do with my statement.... so yeah.

When We had a local dinner with the Guys from FM...Bill said that if he didn't charge enough you wouldn't think it was worth buying...or something of that nature. They are proud of their parts.

That's what free market competition is about.
That's why we have $300+ Supertech pistons.

You can also just call wiseco and order the same exact pistons directly from them for the regular price they charge.

...and the $300 Supertech and $300 rods seem to get the job done for every single person using them.

But the FM ones are the strongest evar. I don't know if it's worth the extra though.

$484 at No Limit Motorsports. That's where I bought mine from. Damn near the same price as when I purchased them. Not affiliated.

The only FM part I had was on my 92, and that was a used link bought 2nd hand. I dont mind paying for a quality part, but I do mind overpaying.

If I was in the market for a set of pistons I'd call them and ask for some details about the increase in price. Especially if it's the same product you can get elsewhere for $200 cheaper. They do have a following, but even they know that most customers will shop things around before ordering. Most likely they have a valid reason for the increase and I'm sure they'd be happy to explain it if someone was to call.

It's because of that bad *** ceramic coating they put on the top of the piston dome.

I know that some of their prices are rather high, however, I find that the customer service is very good. I personally do not buy engine internals from them. You can get the same brand and part numbers from other shops for less. I do buy other goodies from FM, and like doing business with them.
