Default Soft top repair

Looks like the top on the 01 started to split along the glass window. I remember when my friend bought her miata it had the same split and the dealership just put some sort of a black sealant over the hole to fix it....looks ghetto but still works. Any ideas of what this could have been?

When you say "use both," are you saying to mix them together and use that?

N. Seal it up with silicone, then huff the glue.

Use them separately. Glue first for strength, then seal with silicone.
