Uh-oh, I may be back in the game
Sold my last (4th) miata just before I left the states to come to Germany. Been driving a '90 525I ever since, well I went to the base junkyard today to grab a taillight for said BMW, and as soon as I walked in the gates I saw a miata. Driver's door took a decent blow from something but everything seems to be straight, door still works fine, has a hardtop, all primer-black. It's a US spec '91, ran good, although I didn't get a chance to drive it, but they only want $300 for it and yes that's with the hardtop, so I think I'm gonna go back tuesday (when they're open again) and grab her (only reason I didn't yet is because I can only pull $300 a day out of the ATM and obviously my bank doesn't have an office in Germany.)
Anyone in Germany or Netherlands(Oscar, Spookyfish, looking at you!) with a source for a driver's door and a decent painter let me know, I may be looking to get rid of the HT so if you're close by an interested let me know.

Hi,
can you post some pictures from the parts, which must be painted?
Then i ask my favorite painter for a price.
There is no real average price, i think there is a price area from 100-400€, from painter to painter.
Some painter make good prices if the parts are removed, some others can do great smart-repairs without removing, normaly it depends on the parts condition.

It's primer black....and you can tell where it used to be red...and pink....and possibly purple, I'm at least going to rattle can it again. I may just sell off the HT clean her up a bit and sell it for roughly what I put into it plus a bit. Then look for a better platform. Will have pictures ~Tuesday.

Boat paint follow up
$40 Paint Job
Hustler's Giant Tampon
(etc)
This is what's being discussed: http://www.jamestowndistributors.com...duct.do?pid=64
However I kind of agree; a $300 car that's been pink and red and purple in the past is best dignified by a rattle-can job... Maybe chrome metallic bright pink? Or one of these.

Left the gawd damn junkyard an hour and a half before they closed saturday, they've been closed ever since until I got there at 0945 (they open at ten) this mornign and the ******* **** sucking ******* had sold it, what a dick move. I tried to give him $300 to hold it saturday and he said "no no, that's OK just be here tuesday morning and I'll sell it to you then, I won't sell it for the rest of today" ******* did. I wanted to ******* hit him with something.
