Default Crapy weather + lame *** neighbor = body damage

So 2 weeks ago my drunk neighbor backed into the rear of my car..... She didn't want to go the insurance route - she's a professor at the univeristy and wrote an IOU on the back of her business card and paid cash 3 days later (1200$) then 6 days after I get the car back (rear end looks great now of course) we get a massive hail storm.... Think 30+ dents - lame.. Still getting quotes

wow that sucks!

I am shopping for paint work right now... and I'm real worried something will happen to it as soon as it gets out of the shop.

I"ve had my car since may of 2006. Since then I've had the joy of:
"gay" keyed in the hood
then had the car painted
the top cut 3 times
cig holes burned in the top
unused RA-1's stabbed in a parking-lot in OKC
wipers broken off
"------" spraypainted on both doors
tail lights kicked out
and a random dent last week

I'm back to driving a shitty car on the daily.

Okie hustler wins so far :-P that really sucks. Be nice to catch someone in the act for those situations Btw a BB gun works quite well on a windshield at a medium distance (get a Daisy powerline = 22 cal equiv impact force and they're cheap)- so if ya know the offending party and they live close....

yeah, TX and OK are awesome states where people have nothing better to do than gaybash. I've had to get out of the car probaly 5 times or so since I had the car to fight. My favorite was a time I had the joy of a frat boy spitting on me at a stoplight. I got out of the car, 2 left japs and a right hook, then the driver sped off. lol.

It is garages. It gets fucked with at places like the 2-times I've been to a mall in 1 year, restaurant, or a hotel. None of this happened at home.

My car has had part of a milkshake poured down the side at walmart, but they also busted watermelons in the parking lot, so it was just someone being drunk walking through I guess. They got it on video at the store, but I just cleaned it off. Then a few days later at the movies someone put a new door ding on my passenger door, but oh well. I guess I have been lucky considering I have owned Miatas for 6 years, but it helps that I'm big enough and have the know-how to put the hurt on someone if needed, and I'm not some geeky homo!! No pun intended.

is insurance paying for the dent repair or is it coming out of your own pocket.
Either way what you want to do is go to a smaller car lot around where you live. Most small car lots have a company(usually a one man operation) that comes around to their lot each week and looks over the vehicles they have on the lot and the ones that just came in from auction to see if there is any work they can do. At our lot for instance we can get a whole car with hail damage on almost every panel for around $800 and if they are just popping door dings then its around $65 per car. What you need to do is go into the car lot and talk to whoever is in charge. Let them know that you are looking to purchase a vehicle but what to sell yours outright first. Tell them that your vehicle has hail damage and ask them if they have someone who does paintless dent repair for them. They should either hook you up with the name and # of the person who does the work with them, or let you go through them for the work with the agreement that the next time you buy a vehicle you will do so through them(follow through only if you wish). It is a good deal all around for everyone. Its good for you b/c you save lots of $, its good for the lot b/c it doesn't cost them a dime and they know you'll either buy a vehicle from them or refer someone you know to them b/c they took such good care of you. And it is good for the paintless dent repair guy because he gets more business. You must do this at a smaller dealer that does not do body work, otherwise they will have there own in house guy and will charge you retail. On my g/f's Lexus she had what the insurance company appraised to be $2800 in damage, we took the check and had the PDR guy do it all for $800, took the extra cash and got some wheels and tires. Good Luck

P.S. if the dealer is too dense to understand how helping you out will benefit them explain it to them. It doesn't cost them anything and they get more business

In other words, call the used car manager and ask for the number of their PDR(paintless dent repair) guy.

worst thing I've run into is walking out to see a bright *** note on my windshield reading "gay ------"

This was in the parking lot at campus, so it was weak :(
Few weeks later i brought it up to some friends and then one of them told me it was him, but w/e!

I also had an argument with a guy over wether my car was turbo charged or not. Apparently I'm wrong and don't know wtf is on the side of my motor, but 40 feet down the road, he understood.

I had a guy in a new a8l throw is coffee on me a couple months ago in stop and go on the highway, then pointed and laughed. That's when I pretty much lost it. I jumped out of the car and grabbed him by the hair as he was rolling his window up, and didn't really want to bash is face in, so I changed hands to hold him by the hair with my left hand, and slapped him so hard that I thought I broke my hand. I then told him "you're my bitch." lol He rolled up his window as I spat in his face, and I kicked his door in with my cowboy boot.

So...he called 911, and a motorcycle cop showed up, we explained the story, and the cop laughed at him for the big hand print on his face...lol. A woman behind me corroborated my story, and the Lewisville cop let the guy know that is was a bad idea to press charges when more than one witness indicates that he provoked the incident.

I drive by that guy almost every day in traffic on my morning commute. I really like to make him flinch, daily.

I think people see me in the little *** car, in a track seat bolted to the floor, and think I'm a little kid, not a gym rat with a few years in a muay thai studio.

Wow, I really must live in an enlightened part of the world. In 5 years of Miata ownership, I've never had one comment about my implied sexuality, nor has anyone vandalized my car (stereo stolen once), or even had one arguement about fwd.

FWD Miata, how much did it cost all you to get that done, lol.
I used to argue with people, then I just gave up and now drive a FWD Miata, but I have no idea why the *** end still likes to get sideways.
