dumb question about water lines
the water lines on my turbo are leakin like crazy... would it kill the turbo to unhook them until the weekend??

Turbos that have water-cooling capability do not have to be water-cooled, but it's just better if they are. I'd just fix everything ASAP.
Also, make sure that you cover the water inlet and outlet off the turbo so you don't accumulate any crap in them while the tubing is off.

In my car, typically 180°F and 180°F.
Granted, the water will tend to have a much greater cooling effect on the turbo than oil alone. For one thing, water is simply a much better conductor of heat than oil. And for another, that GT2560R has probably got a very restricted oil path compared to something like a TD04H-15G or a Schwitzer S2A, which was designed to be oil-cooled. So it's getting less oil flow and consequently less cooling via oil while at the same time causing more heat rise in the oil that does get to it.
However, the question was whether doing this for one day is going to result in the death of the turbo. Assuming that the OP is running synthetic oil which is not long overdue for a change, then running it like this for one day is probably not going to destroy it. Just take it easy, try to stay out of boost, and give it a nice long cooldown period before you shut it off.

I am running fully synthetic mobil 1 (of course)
I guess I could plug the stupid turbo timer back in.
I dont know if I can go a day without boost though,
maybe I will get off my *** and fix it tonight.
hopefully fixing it will solve the creeping temps. (by having a full radiator)
