So i got FM sways and im getting koni sports. So what kinda springs should i get> I was thinkin H&R race. Any reason why i would wanna look elsewhere? Any other suggestions?

Any objection to using a Ground Control setup? Ride height adjustability is worth it to me, as is the vast availability of spring rates.

nah dont want GC no real reason, i just dont. is the higher spring rate on the H&Rs gonna make the koni sports wear out quicker?

I use the adjustable spax dampers with me h&rs. It's nice to have the ride hight adjustablity option. I have no idea on damper wear. My spaxs are old as hell and they still rock.

What are you looking for? Comfort? Stiffnes? Compromise? I believe the max stiffness for the Koni Sports is under 400#, which isn't enough for some people (like me). You'll need at least 500# (front) to reduce the dreaded nose dive under hard braking. For the rears, you're fine with 300ish.

Not only will higher rates wear out the shocks faster, but the shocks weren't made or valved for higher rates.

wanna go for a ride in my car, on my gc's? Hell, come out to hallett with my on 3/25, and check it out. When you can corner weight the car, the real beauty comes out, and its so much safer.

I went with GC's for the rate selection to, I really never change the height though

I ron pepiel that ****...set it and forget it. Ideally you only need to adjust them once for general use after corner weighting.

I never corner weighted, but I did adjust up after I installed the chikara top mounts to raise it up.

I feel the GC are the best bag for the buck. You can oder any rate you want I am running 450/350 with the rear sway bar disconnected. I know of a few people runnng this setup and it is on the limits of the shocks. GC went out of their way to take care of a problem I had. Somehow I received the wrong kit for the Koni shocks. They were for stock units. The dealer refused to exchange them and I found out they were not a authorized dealer.
GC let me send them back to them and swaped out the springs for the rates I wanted.

I'm going to do a little more valve in the front shocks when the rebuild comes...in a few years. I may be able to work on it a bit with an adjustable rear sway bar...but its so minimal I'm not really worried about it.

I know alot of people who use GC, and I've never heard of any bad customer service issues...unlike tein.

I needed higher rate springs before saturday, so I called GC up on thrusday morning,
me-"Hi, I need some 6" 2.5 450# springs super fast"
GC-"umm let me see if I have them, yep I have them, when did you need them"
me-"I have to have them ready to go in my car by 6am sat"
GC-"umm just a sec let me see about shipping, hold please"
me- *twidle tumbs for about 15sec, getting ready to be shot down*
GC-"No problem I can ship them in about 15min, you just made the deadline, they should be there at the latest 4pm friday"
me-"YESS! thanks!"

8am friday they showed up. best customer service experience ever.

Ground Control for a better spring rate choice. If you do decide to go up in rates, it'll be so much easier. If you dont plan to do much seat time, then any other will do for street.
