Figured you <sarcasm> M.net lovers </sarcasm> would appreciate the Miata of the Month. I owned it for a couple years. Built it, turboed it, slid it, spun it, sold it (to a guy who came to my house with $8600 in $100 bills). He beat it more to hell than I did, judging by that diff.

After a closer look, it does look sawsalled. I've broken an arm off the diff before, after an accident, but that's pretty common. There's a stress cut in the diff arm so breakage happens a lot.

If it was launch hard enough to do what's in the pic, an axle would have gone.

I just dont see how you could snap two axles, a PPF, and two arms.

He probably was already going to upgrade everything to the '96, and decided to cut everything out and tell Gary he's really cool.

Todd (current owner) is a good dude. He actually told me about the '01 I bought. I don't think he made the claim.

The guy who claimed he ripped out the rear was the guy I sold it to i think. A wild young Marine dude who test drove my car like he stole it and bought it with the $100 bills that were in a paper bag along with a 9mm for protection in case he got jacked on the drive to my house. He actually got lost in downtown DC at around midnite while driving from NC to my house south of Balitmore. He might have needed the 9mm.
