Default Tires for Lemons race

I am about to order tires for my miata for 24 hours of lemons and have a question. Do you think i will need two complete sets of tires for the race? It will be 14-15 hours of racing and i will be using Hankook RS2 tires. It may be a dumb question, but all the experience that i have is with all seasons and r compounds, so i have no way to judge this at all.

We had two sets on an acura integra....ran the **** out of them. The second day we swapped just because we had them, we were no where near needing them. I think one set is plenty (unless you damage one). We basically came away from the weekend with 2 great sets of tires left. Hardly any wear. We had fastest time of day so it's not like we weren't driving hard.

I've had a set for a month. They are soft for a street tire, but not an R-compound. I would expect good wear, but always prepare for trouble. If you can afford a spare set, always get one.

Yeah, we came in 3rd in the last event...should have been first but we were trying to rotate in all of our drivers instead of being all strategic about it. If we had lessened the driver changes...would have been fine. I may go down to support a friend of mine with the same car we used last time.

Yeah the RS2's will definitely hold up well, good choice.

(one set should be fine, i'm looking at getting between 15-20k out of mine)

What about the Falken Azenis RT-615, think thats what we are going to go with. Tell me why the RS2's? I never used them.

Cheap and sticky like some of the girls I used to date.

Kumho Ecsta MX's were also good until they stopped making them, but they didn't make one for the 14" rim. I understand that they have the stickier Ecsta XS out now as a replacement. Smallest available size is 205/50 -15.

From what i understand the 615 get can get oily and doesn't get quite as much grip as the RS2. The prices are the same on online tires so i am just going with those. I have never had experience with either, so i am just going off of other reviews.
