I was looking at some sportmax 002's, but i think i like the slipstreams more, will the 15x7's with the 40mm offset fit comfortably under the miata? I have no idea Any other opinions on some 5-6 spoke FLAT black wheels for cheap?

Any wheels can be painted flat black pretty easily. The slipstreams look pretty good though. Everything else is pretty big $$ that I know of unless konig makes something cheap that looks similar.

konig does have some heliums that look, but not any cheaper. 40mm offset will though right?

Yes, 40 will fit, pretty sure that is stock.

ok well goodwinracing says that 40mm came stock, but any other ideas on cheap wheels? I'd even be tempted to get them sent out and powdercoated at this point because i got some goodrich tires comin in soon and i want something to put them on

Well, they do basically bake a wheel if they powdercoat them. Really I'd just rattle can them for flat black. Touch ups are cheap and easy. Powdercoating, if you catch a rock you're just **** out of luck.

Nope. Painted wheels already use a powder clear coat on them from the factory. They are only heated to 350deg, and it has zero negative affects.

Same goes for any painted wheel, including rattle can, unless you don't give a **** about how it looks.

It looks fine. I've rattle canned 3 sets of wheels, no one ever thought it was a home grown job.

40 will fit easily, you can go aggressive as +10 and not have many issues

That all depends on the paint you use. If you're using Krylon black primer sure people are going to point and laugh at you. If you use a decent paint then you'd have to look pretty close to see that it's not a factory job. Especially if you give it a good color sand and polish.

rota slips are great wheels i have a set on my crx they are going on my miata once i get a new diff in but now i gotta wait till all the bs with paypal gets settled......btw the ones i have weigh 12.8 lbs for a 15 inch wheel

yeah i think i'll end up getting some of that duplicolor wheel paint and paint the stock ones because i just got some new bfgoodrich ta's on them and they aren't wearing a bit

I was referring to the chipping issue. You have to work over most of the wheel to smooth out a chip on any painted wheel. Unless, again, you don't care how it looks, then you can just spray over it.
