Default boost mileage??

Just curious as to who has the highest mileage on a boosted motor. (note actual engine mileage please) Mine is sitting at 150,000 (and not boosted yet) i know there are plenty higher. Should be intresting to see.

Mileage on a boosted motor?

Same motor in my car since 1996, I'm over 90k boosted miles. I'll go look at the paper work to determine to the exact mileage.

I "boosted" for about 30k miles... started with a 115k mile motor and ended with toasted rings.

Can you guys list what psi you boost at, what turbo and what engine, intercooler, stock, mod vvt etc and ECU you run.
I think that helps get a better idea. You know boosting at 6psi with a proper tune and IC vs 13 psi no intercooler and really good injectorzzz may differ slightly.

no, I can calculate that using other parameters.......

I would like to know total time at what throttle opening and if you had clean or dirty underwear on, how much did your passenger weigh and if you were on a hill, oh and tire size (friction purposes) and time in boost, tire pressure, top on or off, friction level of road, type of fuel used, headlights up or down (that is for an NA car - the ones made first before the NB and NC that are newer not older than that other model where the lights pop up and such and so forth)

I've boosted about 5000 kilometers on a 97 1.8 motor with unknown mileage. 12-14psi, and really hard driving. Lots of drag racing, launches at 4500RPM with 5psi of boost...

Put the FM2 on mine at 30K miles, built it (85% leakdown in #4) at 82K.

Odometer says 167,000
Engine has 18,000 miles on it
~25-hours of track time
I don't remember the compression numbers specifically but they were withing 5psi, 3%leak...beat that.

OP you planning on getting it turbo'd soon? There's a couple of us in your area. I work at Eglin (of course, my car has a blown motor haha) and another guy on here lives over in Mary Esther and is just about finished with his build.

I believe if you keep up with engine maintenance (oil change, spark plugs, gaskets, etc. etc.) and you have a proper tune. A boosted miata should last you a lifetime. The turbo itself can get some serious mileage before you need a rebuild kit.

My car had about 120,000 when I boosted it. This is the 3rd turbo that I have had on my car...I ran 4 different styles of fuel management. I have also run boost up to 16psi. I now have 150,000 miles on it, and my current setup is probably the last setup I'm goin with. The car runs great, it burns a little oil (about 1/2 quart every 1000 miles), but I'm happy with the way it performs. I also get about 29 mpg cruisin back and forth to work.
Like was mentioned above...keep up with maintenance and use a good tune and it'll last.

Interesting I think the set up I am going with will be reliable but my motor is at 150000 now and should be boosting with in the next 2 months or so. I will be running a china t25 with garrett internals and a bar and plate cxracing intercooler with a megasquirt. want to boost about 10psi and hoping for 220whp.

Wait, a chinacharger with Garrett internals? Isn't that just... a Garrett turbo? I mean, unless you already have the internals, that just seems like a waste of money.
