Default Masao Furusawa is a Miata geek too

my biggest love is motorcycles and motorcycle racing. I've seen some MotoGP bleed over on these bbs so I thought I would share. just came across this article/ interview of Masao Furusawa (head of Yamaha road racing) and his retirement. seems like he can't wait to have some time to play with his Miata. he even talks briefly about some kind of chassis damper he came up with. anyway he's a fascinating guy and thought some of you might enjoy the article too. Miata content on page 7.

here it is

Do those actually do anything significant to the way the car handles/reacts/feels?

I definitely could see them reducing vibration / helping the motor mounts out, but I don't believe in the "get more horsepower" selling feature.

All its supposed to do from what ive been told is increase engine response time a little by making the engine move less while on the throttle. My friend has one on his miata but i couldn't tell you if its worth the money.
