Default Sketchy injector talk

Just put in turbo. I have a 97 1.8 running ms2pnp. day 1 ran it with all stock tan top (254cc) injectors up to 8psi.. wasn't comfortable going that much but the car felt great. ran it all day, goes into boost beautifully, holds solid 11.8afr in boost all the way to redline. I had yellow rx8 injectors (420cc? 425cc? 440cc? everyone has told me different) swap them in, with my luck only three work. great. go to put in old injectors, one of em broke. couldn't go any better.. I was desperate so i went to a junkyard, grabbed injectors out of a 1991 protege. gray top injectors but look identical to stock ones, different P/N. with some reading apparently its 186cc.. to wrap things up, I set my rev limit to 5k i just need to daily the car for a couple days but if i hint into boost like 2psi even into 5psi it no longer does 11.8 i'll see 12.6. also changed req fuel value equal to 240cc injectors.. anyway what im getting to is I ordered ev14 640cc injectors they won't come till thursday and car is my only car, now im running 3 tan miata injectors, 1 gray '91 protege. when new injectors go in, will fueling go back to normal (11.8 in boost) and if i don't go into boost just driving civilly can anything get hurt? afr out of boost is normal for the most part just idle is sketchy.

So you're running 3 254cc injectors and one 186cc injector and you're wondering if you're going to hurt your engine?

Really?

dire need. I ordered the ev14s from your site once they come in i'm back in business.. all i'm saying is if i baby the car 3k shifts no boost etc for the next couple days.. Obviously it's not optimal for the car but I wanted to know if it's so horrible that it's best to not drive the car.. although I can't.

You're better off with four Protege injectors than a mix. Your wideband reads an average AFR across all four cylinders, so with mismatched injectors, you have three rich cylinders and one lean cylinders. It's a disaster.

that sounds awful with some rough math if three are running 11.8 means the other is doing 15.0.... absolutely not having that. thanks for actually explaining it, i now feel like a tard for even asking something so dumb. now i know. ill ride my bike to work until thursday.

Does MSPNP2 have individual cylinder fuel trims? If so crank that one cylinder up and party.
