That's pretty damn cool. $690 is quite expensive though.

Ask yourself this:
How much power would it have to make to be worth the $800?

I bet it's decent. Paul and I had a nice long (conclusionless) chat about if you want horns that project into manifold or not. It seems to me like it's essentially ITB at full throttle just going into a pressurized airbox, you know? But it also seems like the space behind the horns is somewhat wasted.

Anyway, when you reach the limit of the OEM intake, that has to be a step in the right direction. If it buys you as much as a port and polish, it's well worth the money.

With no name associated, stamped, or cast on it that I've ever heard of... No way, 700$ is out of the question.

I found a brand new BEGi for like 300$ before..

Oh, yeah, I have no idea what the competitors cost... If it was between buying that and making your own, it might be nice. It *looks* like it might perform well. really, I'd want to see some flow numbers before I'd lay out that much cash, but that's just me. :-)

Agreed there! Sheesh. I would love to compare runner length to the BEGI unit, and get a measure for the total volume. Flow rate as a function of rpm's for typical miata cams would be nice, too. :-)
