Default Who has a surge tank setup?

Just wanted a head count to see who feels its necessary for a surge tank with the work their car does.

Wanted to see what level you need to hit before we even see surge, even with litres in my car I NEVER get surge.

I don't have a problem above 1/4 tank, maybe even lower.

Spec Miatas don't have any issue down to a gallon or less of fuel. Really no need for one in almost any build. This is assuming you are talking about a fuel surge tank.

Is this what we also know as a fuel swirl tank/pot?

Swirl pots remove air from the water system. A surgetank is filled/pressurized with fuel for starvation problems, and required in the EvoX.

If a swirl pot removes air and starvation is just a matter of getting air in the fuel system, I guess they are the same. Thanks Hussie.

No, a swirl pot swirls the water when there's air in the system, the surge tank just fills another tank to "full" so you don't starve. One works to remove air from the system, the other works to keep a pick-up submerged.
